What has Robbie been doing throughout his apprenticeship?

Last week was a proud moment for JBC as Robbie completes his apprenticeship and steps forward as a fully qualified engineer! Robbie started with JBC on the 5th September 2022 and its clear how his emotional intelligence, professionalism and willingness to take on additional responsibilities have set him apart throughout his apprenticeship journey with JBC. Lets find out what he's learnt and who's helped along the way!

Whether supporting the team in the office or delivering on site, Robbie approaches every task with the same focus and high standards. In 2023, Robbie completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks raising money for Alex's Independant life, Andys Man Club, and Cash 4 Kids, and recently took part in a team 5-a-side football championship. His ambition to progress towards becoming a lead boiler engineer is already clear in the way he works.

"Robbie has grown into the role of being a boiler engineer. He has matured and took us on his journey in achieving his aspirations. Robbie has found a new level of confidence and will continue to flourish as a lead boiler engineer. He has potential and shown an interest in becoming a service engineer in the future. Robbie’s biggest improvement in his role is his ability to articulate and converse with both the customer and his peers whilst onsite."

Who have been Robbie's role models?

"One huge role model for me was Ash during his time on boiler team I was going through a rough patch, and he took the time to take it steady with me learning until I picked up the tricks and showed me how to be a better engineer, also being a genuine person talking me through as not just a colleague but as a mate aswell, pushing through to get where I am today so I am very grateful for him for that.

All the boiler team have played a huge part in who we’ve become. All the team are huge role models, spreading knowledge for us to learn by and to show us correct techniques, ways of working, how to speak to customers etc, the list goes on, great examples of great workers makes us want to go to that same distance."
