Congratulations to Andy Wilson who celebrates 10 years at JBC today. Andy has worked as a fitter and welder and was one of the first employees taken on when JBC expanded its business nationwide.
Andy says that he has learned a lot since starting at JBC, including tig welding and learning about steam and gas, due to the vast amount of training and support offered by JBC.
JBC designed, installed, modified and commissioned an upgrade from an existing 6000 digital burner modulation system to an ‘Ecosafe’ 6009 simultaneous firing system.
JBC would like to thank all our customers and suppliers for your support over the last year and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Here's to a successful 2018 for all.
Another project completed by team JBC with the supply and install of 28mm copper pipework to the mixer unit of one of our customers.
The works included breaking into the main hot water supply and return pipework and TIG welding on a socket and isolation valve.
JBC Mechanical Services had only 12 hours to remove an existing steam meter at Leeds General Infirmary and install all the new pre-fabricated spools and valves, including 2 x 12” parallel slide valves with a bleed valve arrangement in its place and an 8” tee off the line with a further 2 x 8” parallel slide valves to allow an inlet point when the temporary boilers went on line.
Last Saturday 30th September, a team from JBC Industrial Services Ltd took on the Yorkshire Three peaks. Despite tired and aching legs the team battled on to complete the Challenge and raise vital funds for the Alzheimer’s Society, a charity very close to the hearts of JBC staff.
JBC have invested in three new vehicles for our Mechanical Supervisors, Dan Thornes and Jack Tew and our Boiler Team Supervisor, Kev Stephenson. All are now equipped with the skills, experience and equipment to support your Mechanical and Servicing requirements. Pictured here with the new fleet and our new apprentices Matthew and Jack and our National Business Manager, Matthew Schofield.
JBC welcomed manufacturers from 'Made in Yorkshire' to their premises in Normanton for their breakfast morning event. The event was informative with some excellent connections made for manufacturers and businesses working in the Yorkshire region.
JBC welcomed 3 new apprentices this week.
Jack Marren and Matthew Lamb are on the boiler team based out of Normanton. Both have completed NVQ’s in Performing Engineering Operations at Wakefield college and will continuing to study on a day release whilst working with JBC.
