The site required the steam header to be upgraded in order to eliminate excessive pressure points at its time of use.
It incorporated work on both the valves and existing and new pipework, as well as essential stress analysis and structural calculations. Pre-fabrication was done mid-week before been installed on site by class 1 coded welders.
The work was scheduled to be done during a two-day shutdown, so the planning, preparation and adherence to the schedule was of uttermost importance.
