The links between Seabrook’s and JBC be
traced back nearly 25 years.
Our engineering services for Seabrook’s are varied and performed
on a weekly basis under a Service and Maintenance Agreement.
The process of mass crisp production involves certain by-products,
mainly the thousands of tonnes of potato peeling waste that is cleverly
used to produce methane (bio-gas) that is used to fire the effluent
plant boiler providing heat and hot water for offices etc.
JBC service and maintain the effluent boiler as well as three steam
boilers and three fully modulating Weishaupt natural gas burners on
the fryer lines.
The fryer burners were converted to air gas ratio control from hi/low
by JBC engineers as part of the optimising production plans.
The Llandys & Gyr SKP70 (air gas ratio controllers) was replaced
with Krom Schroeder CG45V complete with tightness control units to
improve efficiency, reliability and turndown.
Engineers provide weekly combustion analysis and safety checks as
preventative maintenance to optimise production performance at both
factories.
Also included in the contract is maintenance on heat exchangers, fans
and various controls as well as the statutory annual insurance inspection
on the steam boilers. |
