We take an active interest in the history of the steam boiler and
have a small archive of historical books and photographs going back
nearly 150 years.
The changes in boiler design through the years has being consistent
with the technological progressions, however we cannot escape the
catastrophic damage caused by a boiler if things go wrong.
This page is merely an informative historical exercise in safety if
nothing else
The following images have being taken from “The National Boiler
& General Insurance Company Limited,” “Working of
Steam Boilers for Boiler Attendants and those in charge of Steam Boilers”
Published by Taylor Garnett & Evans & Co Ltd. 1907.
