Condensate Recovery & Return
- Heat Recovery & Boiler Blow
Steam boilers need to be blown down to control the level of total
dissolved solids. The boiler water discharged contains heat, which
can be recovered to increase energy efficiency. Heat recovery is
most effectively applied in conjunction with an automatic TDS level
control system, which regulates the discharge of boiler blowdown
water such that it is available to the heat recovery system.
Only heat recovery systems that recover greater
than 80% of the total heat contained in the blowdown discharge are
eligible under the ECA Scheme.
